President Cyril Ramaphosa attends WUKF South Africa National Championships
The World Union of Karate-Do Federations (WUKF) were honoured to welcome the President of South Africa to our WUKF South Africa National Championships & Africa Open which were held over 21-24 March 2024 in Gqberha.
President Cyril Ramaphosa attended the event on Saturday 23rd March and was welcomed by Roy O’Kane (WUKF COO), Essam Shreif, (WUKF Referee Commission ) and Gary Grapentin (WUKF South Africa Liaison). He met with officials, athletes, coaches and addressed the competition.
The President was also presented with a special award from the WUKF and we were delighted with his support.
The event featured 698 competitors from 22 federations alongside international teams from the USA, Scotland, Reunion and Namibia.
