Opening Ceremony Celebrates Karate for All 

Pruszków, Warsaw: The WUKF European Karate Championships opened with a high energy opening ceremony at the Hala Stadion Znicza in Pruszków on Friday.

Thousands of athletes, coaches, officials and spectators from 25 countries filled the sport hall and were welcomed by Mr Jacek Chalupka (Organiser – IKA) and Dr Liviu Crisan (WUKF World President).

Attendees experienced an exciting light show, dance performances and a wonderful celebration of Karate for all.

The prestigious event welcomed 1,725 athletes from 25 countries to compete over five days in one of the biggest Karate events in Europe.

Distinguished guests, including Grzegorz Fedorowicz, Senator of the Republic of Poland, and Agnieszka Wierbicka, President of the Culture and Sports Centre in Pruszków, were present to open the event; both expressed their pride in welcoming the championships.

The ceremony celebrated an exciting five days of competition, with participants competing in various Kata and Kumite events, representing the best of European Karate.
