Gary Grapentin Appointed WUKF President for Africa
The World Union of Karate-Do Federations (WUKF) proudly announces the appointment of Mr. Gary Grapentin as WUKF President for the continent of Africa.
Having previously served as the WUKF Liaison Lead for South Africa, Mr. Grapentin brings a wealth of experience and dedication to his new role.
His outstanding leadership qualities and deep understanding of the intricacies of the continent make him the ideal candidate to further the development of WUKF Karate in Africa.
In his capacity as President, Mr. Grapentin is committed to growth, promoting inclusivity, and upholding the values of WUKF across the African continent.
Mr Grapentin said: “I am deeply honoured and excited to take on the role of WUKF President for Africa and look forward to sharing the ethos of Karate for all; creating opportunities for athletes, coaches, and enthusiasts across Africa.”
The news of the promotion was shared during the Opening Ceremony of the recent WUKF South Africa National Championships and Africa Open by Roy O’Kane from the WUKF Executive Committee.
